The ‘Be the Best you can Be!’ programme enables young people to discover their unique potential and inspires, engages and empowers them to pursue and fulfil their dreams.
It aims to embrace the enthusiasm and increased self-awareness that came as a result of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Within the programme the children are encouraged to;
- Talk about and share what they have already achieved
- Think about what they would like to achieve in the future
- Set goals to help them achieve their a brighter future
‘Be the Best you can Be!’ begins with a visit from a special guest.
When Marlborough launched our ‘Be the Best you can Be!’ programme we were lucky enough to get a visit from Mark Richardson, a track athlete who won a silver medal for the 4x400m mens relay in the 1996 olympic games in Atlanta. Make sure you check out the pictures from his visit at the bottom of this page and in the school gallery.
With the upcoming Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016 we will be revisiting the values and ethos of ‘Be the best you can be’ to enable all of our staff and families to understand the importance of reaching their goals and aiming high to be the best they can be.
