Have you been posted? Moving to a new area?
The school has a thorough moving on process for your child’s learning and teaching outcomes, records and assessments. We ask that you let the office now as soon as possible that you will be moving on. The office will then organise for your child’s records and books to be collated and if you are moving out of the area we ask that you collect your child’s documents and records on their last day at school. Please also complete the blue leavers questionnaire to support us by providing feedback on your child’s experience whilst at the school. We will use this to reflect on our successes and any developments that maybe needed. Thank you for supporting the school during your time here.
Transitioning to Juniors at the end of Year Three
Marlborough Infant School has many links with local Junior and Primary Schools and we support our children with their move to the Juniors and Key Stage Two. We provide opportunities for the children to visit the schools and work alongside the children, ensure all documentation and records are sent to the receiving school, hold transition meetings with the school leaders to ensure that they know everything about your child to support a smooth transition. If your child has special needs or an EHCP we will ensure that a meeting with all parties will be held during the term before they move on. Our local Junior Schools can be seen on the links below;
If the school that your child is moving on to is not above please ensure that you let us now where they are moving to and we will contact them, ensuring that we can plan and support transition activities for them.
Please do not hesitate to contact the office or arrange an appointment with Miss Smith or Mrs Court if you have any further questions.
