CRC – Article 29
Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child’s respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures, and the environment.
Our school Eco-Team was founded in 2012 with the aim of helping to look after our world and to teach others how to do the same. We have been involved in projects that include recycling, composting, saving energy, saving water and discouraging littering.
Each term two children are elected from each class to join the Eco-Team. The Eco-Monitors then work with children and adults from across the school to help care for our environment. The team meets at least twice a term to discuss ideas and organise environmental projects.
Our current Eco Monitors are:-
|Oak Class||Jonathan Broomfield and Kaylee Belfon|
|Elm Class||Riley Boulding and Zoe Edwards|
|Ash Class||Kartikeya Talasila and Florence Dixon|
|Beech Class||Prachita Gurung and Jaiden Lonnen|
|Maple Class||Sophia Young|
|Hawthorn Class||William Rana and Tayla-Mai Priestley|
